      Hoolux is the digital advertising platform we have developed. It is a unique and innovative product that allows you to see "Who Looks" at your advertising.
      It gives advertisers control over their campaigns, and takes the hassle out of advertising for publishers.

      Through our pay-per-view system, measuring the return on marketing investment has never been easier, and increasing revenues from renting advertising space has never been more profitable.

    • What is the difference between Hoolux and other Digital Out of Home advertising platforms?

      Unlike other Digital Out of Home (DOOH) platforms, Hoolux allows you to target your advertising at more of your desired consumer audience. It is a transparent and flexible system, providing real-time data on your campaigns and the control to change aspects of your campaign whenever you want.

      What sets Hoolux apart, is on top of these amazing features, you can accurately measure the return on your advertising investment, as you only pay if consumers engage with your ad. It addresses all of your advertising needs, in one user-friendly platform.

    • What is the technology behind Hoolux?

      We attach a biometric scanner to a digital screen powered by a common central processing unit. Through our anonymous facial detection software, Hoolux can determine the gender and age group of any potential viewer to an accuracy of 90%.  Hoolux then allocates a pre- selected demographic to each viewer engaging with the ad, that has already been specified by clients. This shows viewers an ad that is designed for them containing content relevant to them. Pretty neat, right?

      Our comprehensive cloud-based reporting, billing and management platform gives centralized control for all advertising content.  You can login online whenever you want and receive instant reports on your marketing campaigns, and edit or tailor your campaigns however you wish.

    • What new features are coming in the future?

      Our technology is pretty advanced and Hoolux can provide a variety of additional features to cater to your advertising needs. We are constantly looking at innovative ways to update our software and to help you learn more about your consumers.  We believe that technology is the way forward, and are always looking for ways to improve and update our advertising solutions.     • Is it free to sign up?

    • What is the cost of a campaign?


      After the free views, if you want to continue using Hoolux Medical you can assign a budget from as little as a few dollars to continue advertising on our platform. You set the budget, so you decide how much you pay on either, a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis.

    • I am a Media Buyer. Is Hoolux good for me?

      Hoolux is great for you, because it does all your market research for you. It also allows you to show your clients how effective their campaign was and their exact return on investment.

      We provide a centralized portal for Media buyers where you can track all of your various campaigns simultaneously, giving you line of sight across your portfolio of advertising campaigns in real-time.

    • I am a single advertiser. Will this work for me?

      Sure, it’ll work a treat! You have total control over your advertising, from setting the budget, to where you want your ads shown. Best the best part is, you only pay if viewers engage with your ad, so you only pay if your advertising is effective. Easy peasy!

    • What information will we get about the viewers of our campaigns?

      Hoolux lets you know the demographic of each viewer who engages with your campaign. It tells you when and where they engaged with your ad, and also for how long.

      This gives you in-built market research and in-depth knowledge about your consumers, telling you just how effective your advertising is.

    • Can I target adverts by geographical location?

      Yes you can! With Hoolux you can be as geographically specific as you want. You can choose to advertise nationally, by city or even down to a specific region.

      If you want to focus your advertising further, you can target your ads by category, for example, in retail outlets or travel hubs, enabling you to display your ads in places that are relevant to your campaigns.

      Now that’s focused advertising!

    • Can I choose at what times of the day my advert will be displayed?

      Of course! You choose the time of day or night you want your ads shown. You can leave your ad run all day, or for just one or two hours in the day, or you can be more specific.

      This means you can select up to three different time slots throughout the day or night, during which your ads will be shown.

      This helps you advertise at specific times relevant to your product or service, increasing the effectiveness of your campaign. Cos we know, timing is everything.

    • What do you mean by anonymous analytics?

      Good question! We mean that our camera doesn’t record images of viewers. Our facial detection software simply registers and identifies viewers’ gender and age group.

      That means that all our data is anonymous and nobody’s privacy has been infringed upon. Phew!

    • Are you recording video of the passers by that look at the screens?

      No Hoolux doesn’t do that. Our technology simply registers anonymous demographic data from viewers engaging with the adverts to simply figure out their demographic, that’s all.

      On live footage, Hoolux figures out viewers’ gender and age group, but there is no recording enabledIt’s that straightforward!

    • In Which countries is Hoolux active?

      At the moment Hoolux is operating across the USA, we also have plans to expand across Europe, the Middle East and Asia in the near future. Exciting times!

    • What if my country is not listed?

    • What video or image formats does Hoolux support?

      Hoolux can accommodate both video or image adverts. For video, Hoolux supports MP4 format up to 10 megabites.

      And for images, Hoolux supports adverts up to 2 megabites per jpeg file.

    • How long do the adverts have to be? 


      We recommend advert’s to run between 8 to 10 seconds in length, for optimal engagement with consumers. This can vary, so no matter how long or short your ad is, it can be shown on Hoolux.

    • Can I embed and track QR codes in my advert?

      Hoolux Medical is the perfect platform for QR codes, enabling you to track how many times and when the QR was accessed. With NFC technology we can track the downloading and the redemption of the coupons. So it’s consumer interaction made easy!

    • What if more than one person is engaging with the platform at the same time?

      You may be wondering how the software determines which demographic to target if more than one person is engaging with the platform at the same time.  In this case the device will play content that is relevant to the majority of the individuals.  For instance, if there is 1 male aged 55 years old and 3 women in the age range of 25 to 45 years old, the device would play an advertisement that is relevant to the women in that age category. 

    • Will the same advertisement be played over and over again?

      Hoolux will never play the same circulation of advertisements, we will always provide new information to viewers.  There is no repetition.

    • Why would I want to put this on my TV?

      Why not! By updating your display with our technology, you are providing a much more advanced and attractive platform for advertisers.

      By simply installing our system, you can hugely increase your revenues from renting your site, while also allowing you to rent your advertising space to a number of advertisers simultaneously.

    • What maintenance costs are involved?

      There are no maintenance costs associated with the device!

    • How much money will I make if I become a Physician?

      You could make up to 100% increase on your current revenue from renting your advertising space.

    • Can I keep track of my earnings?

      Absolutely, Hoolux enables you to login online whenever you want and shows you real-time figures on how much you are earning per advertising campaign and per display.

       

    • Hoolux is not running in my country. What should I do as a Physician?

      You can contact us directly. We’re always looking for local partners to help us expand the Hoolux platform into new countries and regions.

      If you think your commercial space is a good location for advertising, Hoolux could greatly increase your revenues, so get in touch!

    • What are the benefits of the Hoolux Medical device to Physicians?

      Since the software has the capability of targeting specific demographics, it allows advertisers to educate your patients.  These patients would once have to be educated on a particular disease, injury, or medicine by you.  With our patient specific content, your patients will already have this knowledge when they walk into their consultation.  This provides you with more time to take on additional patients.


      The device also has the potential of lowering patient anxiety.  Under normal circumstances, the content of TV’s in medical facility waiting rooms consist of daytime television, soap operas, and current events.  The content that will be played on our device is far more compelling, educational, and relevant to the viewers.

    • What if I decide to disconnect the service to watch something else, a football game for instance?

      You will be called within 15 minutes by a Hoolux Medical tech support team member in order to run through diagnostic protocol.

    • What if I decide I no longer want to continue with the service?

      A fee of $500.00 will apply if you decide you no longer want the service prior to your contract ending. 

    • What if I have more than one waiting room?

      No problem! We will be happy to provide one device per waiting room.  You have the ability to register multiple devices. 

    • I have an “L” shaped waiting room, can I get 2 devices?

      Unfortunately not. Hoolux Medical can only allow one device per waiting room.  This is because the device plays content per audience, so multiple devices will play different content if they are in different areas of the same waiting room. 

    • What if there is inappropriate content?

      No worries here! All content is monitored by Hoolux Medical.  We also have an age restriction button which ensures that any mention of content that may not be perceived as appropriate, will not be shown if any person below the age of 18 is detected in the room.

    • Is there any benefit to recommending a friend?

      Absolutely! We will add an additional 2.5% of revenue to your income and an additional 2.5% to theirs. There is no limit to the amount of referrals you make, even if it ends up costing us money!

    • How does the Hoolux device work?

      The Hoolux set-­top box sits on your standard television set in your waiting room.  Simply plug-­in the power, ethernet cable and HDMI cable, switch it on and then file a simple registration process. 

    • Hoolux Medical Exclusion from the Sunshine Act

      Under the Sunshine Act, data on payments and gifts made to physicians and teaching hospitals by medical device and pharmaceutical companies must be publicly available on a searchable federal database, starting in September 2014.

      The Hoolux Medical system is excluded from the controls and reporting requirements of the Sunshine Act, by virtue of the indeterminate nature of the payment by potential Pharmaceutical/Medical Device companies for advertising.  In particular, the Sunshine Act specifically excludes any payments to Doctors etc., where the Pharmaceutical/Medical Device company does not know and/or does not have any control over who is getting paid, as is definitively the case with Hoolux Medical.

      Read a summary of the key issues pertaining to payments made to Doctors etc:

      At the end of the page there is a section entitled Excluded from Reporting which includes the following exclusions:

      “Indirect Payments or Other Transfers of Value where applicable manufacturer is unaware of the identity of the covered recipient”

      This conclusively excludes Hoolux Medical from being covered by The Sunshine Act, as all payments made to Doctors etc. are categorically not linked to any particular advertisement or other revenue generating facility implemented by Hoolux Medical.

    • Hoolux Medical Exclusion from HIPAA

      The overall thrust of the HIPAA legislation is to protect the privacy of the individual receiving health care within the United State of America. Specifically, it addresses the issue of maintaining control over personal information obtained during the delivery of care.

      The Hoolux Medical system employs technology which uses a camera to anonymously determine the gender and approximate age of an individual looking at the screen when an advertisement is being played.

      The technology used does not, at any point, capture, record or in any way keep or maintain digital images or digital video. The system is specifically designed to operate in real time to anonymously determine the gender and approximate age of the viewer using a sophisticated algorithm which analyses the facial features of the viewer, without ever recording images or video.

      Furthermore, the system is designed so as to prevent any access to the camera by third party software and any tampering with the system is immediately notified to the central management centre where it is investigated.

      In summary, the Hoolux Medical system does not obtain, maintain or record any identifiable information about the viewer. It is guaranteed by Hoolux Medical to be completely anonymous and therefore is completely excluded from the applicability of the HIPAA standards.

      The following is an extract from the relevant HIPAA standards:

      Subpart E—Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information

      § 164.500 Applicability.

      (a) Except as otherwise provided herein, the standards, requirements, and implementation specifications of this subpart apply to covered entities with respect to protected health information.

      (b) Health care clearinghouses must comply with the standards, requirements, and implementation specifications as follows:

      (1) When a health care clearinghouse creates or receives protected health information as a business associate of another covered entity, the clearinghouse must comply with:

      (i) Section 164.500 relating to applicability;

      (ii) Section 164.501 relating to definitions;

      (iii) Section 164.502 relating to uses and disclosures of protected health information, except that a clearinghouse is prohibited from using or disclosing protected health information other than as permitted in the business associate contract under which it created or received the protected health information;

      (iv) Section 164.504 relating to the organizational requirements for covered entities;

      (v) Section 164.512 relating to uses and disclosures for which individual authorization or an opportunity to agree or object is not required, except that a clearinghouse is prohibited from using or disclosing protected health information other than as permitted in the Business associate contract under which it created or received the protected health information;

      All references in the section above refer to “identifiable health information”. The Hoolux System does not “identify” any information about any viewer, nor is it possible to do so, as the system does not record any images or video in its operation. Therefore, the Hoolux System is completely excluded from the applicability of the HIPAA standards.
